You do not need a perfect packing list to ask.
Send a product link or photos, supplier city, estimated packed size and weight, and your postcode. The first reply is an estimate; the final price should follow warehouse measurement of the real transport packing.

You should be able to repeat the offer in one sentence: what is moving, what the final price covers, where delivery ends and who updates you. Save the cargo record and final quote before the shipment moves.

Is the lowest first China-to-Europe DDP quote usually the right choice?
Not if it excludes tax handling, final delivery or unloading. Compare written inclusions and the delivery endpoint, not only the first number.
Can a private buyer use DDP freight forwarding?
Yes, for accepted shipments. Confirm who handles customs and tax, which documents you provide and whether you need VAT, EORI or a customs broker.
